New Music Friday – March Issue

It is New Music Friday yet again! Like every last Friday in the month, we introduce you to new music we have found, and which you can check out on our Spotify Playlists.

To pitch music for our playlists, please make sure to inlcude “Music Friday” into the subject line of your e-mail.

We have featured Henriette in an artist talk before and are so happy to share her new song Masterpiece. A mellow country track with Henriette´s beautiful warm vocals this track will enchant you and make your day better!

LIZ BOHANNON – LET ME GO – on our Pop Discoveries  playlist

A new addition to our Pop Discoveries playlist is Liz Bohannon´s new track “Let me go”, a break up song that cuts to the core.
Liz had teamed up with Nashville producer/songwriter Louis Johnson to create this mesmerizing piece, a crossover of pop and country-ish traces.

RHIANNON GIDDENS (WITH FRANCESCO TURRISI) – WATERBOUND on our FOLK FOR LAID BACK FOLKS Playlist

Rhiannon Giddens is probably widely known for her role on the ABC series Nashville. This roots-y tune with her signature banjo sounds brings a vintage feel upon your soul. A beautiful song to listen to over the Easter break.

MORGAN WADE – DON´T CRY- on our COUNTRY VOICES playlist

Truth is, we discovered Morgan Wade via her youtube accoustic videos. Hooked on her song “The Night”, we were delighted for the release of her album “Reckless” this month. Among our favoite songs is the track “Don´t cry” which also comes with a great video, too! Morgan´s raspy bright vocals remind us of Janis Joplin. Make sure to check this song out!

BRAINS FOR BREAKFAST – REPETITION OVER AGAIN- on our FOLK FOR LAID BACK FOLKS Playlist

UK based songwriter Andy delivers a 70ies music inspired folk tune celebrating music for music. We love this uplifting tune and hope you will, too!
